Please
Help Keep Our Streets Safe in Snowstorms
Please do
not park vehicles on the road right of
way --
park in your driveway at least 15
feet from the street to make sure
your vehicle doesn't interfere with snow
plowing .
If you do
not have to travel this weekend, please
stay off the streets.
Parents,
for safety's sake, do not allow your children
to use the streets for sledding, snowboarding,
etc .

Trash and Recycling Pickup
LMOA has been notified by Waste Management
there will be
no trash or recycling pickup today, Friday February 5,
due to the closure of the transfer stations.

SLEDDERS
AND SNOWBOARDERS: When
the snow is at least 4 inches deep, the
fairway of golf course hole #14 is open
for sledders and snowboarders. Access
from Mulligan Street . Please park as
far off the road as possible.

VA RATE INCREASE -- FORM LETTER IN OPPOSITION
LMOA has drafted a form letter that may help some residents who wish to register their opposition to the rate increase requested by Aqua Virginia for water and sewer services in our area. To get the form letter electronically, click here: FORM LETTER. Printed copies are available at the Administration Office.
To use the form letter, simply fill in your name and address in the blanks at the top, add your own comments where indicated after the first paragraph (and delete the directions), and add your signature and date at the bottom.

DONATIONS NEEDED TO BUILD COMMUNITY FISHING PIER
The Board of Directors has authorized volunteers from Bo’s Pier Group to begin raising money to cover the cost of the community fishing pier. As originally proposed, LMOA will build the pier exclusively with donations and volunteer labor. The estimated cost of materials is $25,000. Your assistance is needed, whether you can give $10, or $100 or $1,000 or more. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated.
A flyer with donation form is being delivered to mailbox cubbyholes this weekend. The flyer also is available electronically by clicking HERE. Please read the information provided and send whatever you can comfortably give. Just fill out the form and return it along with your check to the address listed or to the LMOA Administration Office. LMOA will accept credit card payments at the Administration Office. Thank you for helping make this community amenity available to all residents and their guests, regardless of ability age or physical limitations. The Environmental Control Committee (ECC)
will be citing out-of-date holiday decorations
as violations of PM 13.03 IX A. 1, which
prohibits unsightly and unkempt lots.
Clogged
ditches and culvert pipes: Lot
owners must keep ditches and culvert pipes
clear of leaves, trash and other debris,
per PM 11.01, Storm Water Management.
The ECC will begin citing violations.
