Administration Office. The Board also may
be contacted by email at the email addresses
listed above.
Members interested
in service to LMOA as a Director are invited

of the petition process will be announced
in Association media. For more information,
contact the LMOA
Communications Manager.
LMOA
Board of Directors Organizational Structure
The
Board of Directors is the governing body
of the Association. As provided in the
Bylaws,
the Board adopts policies and promulgates
such rules and regulations as necessary
for the proper operation, administration
and government of the community. Such
policies, rules and regulations are binding
on members of the Association.
The
Board normally meets monthly on the fourth
Thursday of the month. Exceptions may
be approved by the Board and announced
in the Association media. The Board may
call special meetings as necessary to
conduct the business of the Association
or as working sessions to gather information.
Time will be allocated at Board meetings
for members to speak on items included
on the agenda for that meeting or on other
matters affecting the community and/or
the Association.
An
agenda for the monthly meeting will be
published in the Friday
Flyer, Lake Monticello’s weekly
communique to the members, the week immediately
preceding the meeting. Background material
on agenda items will be placed in the
Reading Files available for view at the
Clubhouse and Pro Shop. A summary of actions
taken by the Board will be published in
the next Friday
Flyer following the meeting.
To
resolve problems or concerns of a more
personal and/or immediate nature, members
are encouraged to contact an appropriate
member of staff
or committee
involved with the area of concern. This
will speed the process and expedite resolution.
Other questions and comments may be directed
to the Secretary or members of the Board.
Each
year, LMOA members elect three Directors
to fill terms that expire at the Annual
Meeting and other un expired terms on
the Board of Directors that may have been
vacated for any reason, and which have
been included on the agenda for the Annual
Meeting. |

The
Board of Directors and staff rely on LMOA committees
for help and information. At the present time,
there are 18 standing committees, eight operating
and 10 advisory. In addition, the Board appoints
ad hoc committees as needed for special purposes.
Each
committee has a staff liaison with whom they work
to accomplish the committee’s goals and
responsibilities, as provided in the committee
charter. While employees do not report to committees
nor committees to staff, each utilizes the abilities
of the other to accomplish whatever is needed
in the best interests of the Association.
Most
committees meet regularly. See the Friday
Flyer for the committee meetings scheduled
each week. Regular meeting schedules are published
below, along with a brief summary of the each
committee.
Association
members who have a background of work and/or experience
that could enhance operations of one or more committees,
or members who have a special interest in the
work of a committee, are invited to consider volunteering
for service on the committee. To be considered
for service on any committee, members may download
a Committee
Resource Form from the online library or pick
one up at the Administration Office. As committee
vacancies arise, either by resignations during
the year or as terms expire at the end of each
calendar year, qualified applicants will be contacted
and interviewed for the openings. It is not unusual,
however, for an applicant's form to be on file
for an extended period of time before he/she is
contacted. Because interests and experience tend
to change over time, members are encouraged to
update their forms annually.
