Park & Walk LMOA

The golf cart paths are open to walking in the mornings. Walkers must complete the front 9 by 7:30am daily. The back 9 is open for walking until 8:30am Monday- Wednesday, 8:00am on Thursday and Friday, and 9:30am on Saturday-Sunday. Walkers are asked to walk in the order of holes 1-9 and 10-18. Walking is not permitted during play hours for safety reasons. Bikes, skateboards, and dogs are not permitted.

In addition to walking the cart paths at the Lake Monticello Golf Course, walking routes have been marked at Beaches 2 & 3 and Lafayette Park. Just look for “Start” and the white footprints painted on the left side of the road. At the beaches, the starting point is at the top of the parking lots, and at Lafayette Park, it’s on the right side on Lafayette Drive. The turns are marked, so you can quickly stride without a map, but turn-by-turn directions via Google Maps are available below.

Of the completed walks, Beach 2 is the shortest and most comfortable, as it’s mostly flat. Beach 3 is a half-mile longer and has some gentle slopes. Lafayette is the longest and most challenging.

Where ever you choose to walk, please walk facing traffic and wear clothes that will make you easy to see.
