Good afternoon, Lakers, The GM Corner is coming to you a day early this week. We will resume on Fridays as usual next week. Please continue reading for the Annual Meeting update. Thank you to all who participated in this 52nd Annual Meeting of LMOA Members which took place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. We congratulate our newly elected Board Members, Jennifer Richardson and Scott Murdoch. A quorum was met, and the voting results were announced at the meeting by Election Committee Chair Deb Soloway. Jennifer and Scott will serve 3-year terms, ending in 2027. The Board Proposal to increase the annual dues base by $150 passed. The final tally was 1,225 votes supporting the proposal and 603 votes opposing the proposal. The $150 increase will take effect on January 1, 2025. The total 2025 dues amount will be finalized during the budget process later this year. Each year, this $150 portion of the dues base will be allocated to the respective Reserve Fund (such as Major Repairs, & Replacement (MR&R), Lake, and Roads). Additionally, all LMOA members in good standing are now eligible for free annual pool passes, beginning Memorial Day 2025 through Labor Day 2030. More details will be communicated to the Membership via Official LMOA Communications later this year. Following the Annual Meeting, an Organizational Meeting was held and the following Board officers were appointed for the new Board cycle: ·President, Larry Henson ·Vice President, Gary Sellick ·Treasurer, Mike Kelly ·Secretary, Johnny Williamson The July regular monthly Board meeting will be Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 7 PM in the Fairway Clubhouse (51 Bunker Blvd.).
