Hello Team LMOA!

Kayak Launches: The LMOA Facilities Team (F&O) completed installing two new kayak launch ramps. One is at the Marina and the other at Beach 3 but may need adjustments to work optimally. They have received feedback from the community and will reevaluate next week. These ramps were donated by the Lake Monticello Community Foundation and will make it easier for Lake residents to get in and out of their non-motorized watercraft. Thank you, LMCF!

All Watercraft Must Be Registered: All Lake residents are welcome to launch non-motorized watercraft on our Lake so long as your kayak, canoe, SUP, etc. is registered and stickered. Registration with sticker costs $40 and can be obtained at the Marina. This helps LMOA identify unauthorized boaters and helps fund operations like our Lake Health program. Please do your part and register your boats. Contact [email protected] or 434-589-1692 if you have questions. Thank you!

Tennis Courts: The Ashlawn Racquet Sports Courts have been resurfaced and are ready to be played on. The crew will start work on Lafayette Racquet Sports Courts sometime in July. We will update you as soon as we have the start date. Please remember that QuickStart Tennis Camp will be using the courts at Ashlawn in the mornings next week.

Pool: We have a few tips to make your visit to the Lake Monticello Pool more enjoyable:

• The pool, managed by Troon, does not accept cash payments for day passes this year.
• The Shark Tank, managed by RocDun Hospitality, has a great menu and takes cash and card payments.
• The pool staff communicates through a Facebook page where important announcements about closures and swim lessons can be found.

Unfortunately, there are a number of "Lake Monticello Pool" pages on Facebook that were made in the past. LMOA has no access to those pages and cannot deactivate them. Please make sure you choose this one that is titled "Public Swimming Pool" as opposed to the others that are titled "Unofficial Page" in the ABOUT section. Hope this helps! Independence Day Celebrations: The schedule for our annual Independence Day Celebrations is posted on our website! Bunker Bistro will be providing live music and all kinds of food options on July 6 so that you and your visitors stay well-fed at the Ashlawn Grounds. A full schedule for live music and menus on July 6 will be posted soon!
