Hello Team LMOA! I would like to express my gratitude to our Police Officers, Allied Security Partners, and Facilities & Operations Department staff for their dedicated hard work during the recent snowstorm. The Facilities & Operations team worked tirelessly throughout the evening, and their round-the-clock efforts deserve recognition. Thank you to everyone who worked to clear the roads, provide safety services, and ensure proper ingress and egress capabilities. Your commitment is greatly appreciated! Please continue reading for information about running for the board, job openings, and lots of great events in this edition of LMOA’s official news update: Run for the Board: As President's Day approaches, it is an excellent opportunity for Members in good standing to consider how you can make a meaningful impact by running for the LMOA Board of Directors. We’re excited to share that two members have requested Candidate Petition Packets for the upcoming board election so far, and we encourage you to do the same. If you're interested in being part of this important process, we encourage you to obtain your Candidate Petition Packet as soon as possible. You will need to gather 150 signatures from Members in Good Standing by the deadline of 5 PM on March 31, 2025. For your convenience, we now offer the option of either electronic or traditional paper packets, making it easier than ever to participate. Inside the packet, you will find vital information about running for the board, along with a questionnaire that allows you to share your story and vision. The Election Committee will verify the signatures in April, and we’ll announce the qualifying candidates at the Special Open Session Meeting on April 10. To request a packet, please click THIS LINK, and a member of the LMOA staff will reach out to you promptly. You can also visit the Member Services desk at the Ashlawn Clubhouse, located at 41 Ashlawn Blvd. By running for the board, you have a wonderful opportunity to help shape the future of Lake Monticello. Your voice and leadership can create positive change for our community! Trash Delay Reminder: Green For Life (GFL) wants to inform everyone that trash and recycling services will be delayed by one day this week due to the weather. Thursday's pick-up will occur on Friday, February 14, and Friday's pick-up will be held on Saturday, February 15. Upload Photo for Pool ID: We are happy to announce that Troon has hired Chris Markham as this year's Pool Manager. He did an outstanding job last year as the assistant manager and truly earned this promotion. Troon is currently seeking a new assistant manager and hiring lifeguards. Please note that lifeguards must obtain their certification on their own time and cost. With households in good standing receiving 25 free pool credits this summer, we anticipate that the pool season will look a bit different. It will take some getting used to. For example, we anticipate that occupancy will depend on staffing. This year's season will open on Saturday, May 24, and will close on Tuesday, September 2. The pool will have reduced hours starting August 12, when most lifeguards return to school. The staff is working on the details and will roll out the plan in March. However, we can already share that pool patrons will be required to carry Member IDs for check-in using either an app or a plastic card. If you plan to use your pool credits, you will need to provide a photo, which can be uploaded to your LMOA online profile. Please help us save time by uploading your photo now. You can watch this VIDEO on how to upload a photo to your profile. Member Services can also assist you. To schedule an appointment for assistance, please email [email protected].
