Please continue reading for LMOA’s official news update: LMOA Annual Meeting Voting Starts May 28: Emails and postcards with voting instructions will be sent on May 28, and voting ends on June 21. The Board urges property owners to read the Annual Meeting Notice thoroughly when it arrives and make an informed decision that protects the future of LMOA. The Directors are asking for a $150 dues increase that will go into reserves annually to replenish those funds. Candidate Forum: Broadcast Group volunteer Ron Krauss will moderate a Board candidate forum on May 20 at 6 PM in the Fairway Clubhouse. All four 2024 Candidates will participate. Residents are encouraged to attend. You can send your questions to [email protected] in advance or arrive at the forum early to submit questions. The doors will open at 5:30 PM, and questions can be written on cards at the door until 6 PM. There will be NO other Q&A opportunity during the forum. It’s a great way to plan for fun happenings in our county like the Carnival this week (there is still time to go tonight and tomorrow) and the summer concerts at Pleasant Grove Park. Bunker Bistro Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: The official grand opening of Bunker Bistro will take place at 51 Bunker Blvd. at 11 AM on May 14. The Bistro has a great menu and live music on most Fridays. For all their events, visit their CALENDAR. July 4th 5K Volunteers Needed: Laker John Platt has been organizing the beloved 5K race on July 4th for years! It is an entertaining and popular event. He needs volunteers this year and could really use your help. Thank you! Help LMVFR: It’s time to get your team together for the LMVFR annual golf benefit. The 45th Lake Monticello Volunteer Fire & Rescue Golf Tournament will take place on June 15 at the Lake Monticello Golf Course. Registration is open and forms are available at the Pro Shop, or via email: [email protected]. $95 includes greens and cart fees, a breakfast sandwich, and coffee. Shotgun Start will be at 8 AM. Lunch at the Bunker Bistro is also included with registration, and raffle prize tickets will be on sale. The tournament follows a Captain's Choice format. Individual players are welcome and will be placed on a team. This popular tournament fills up quickly and registration will be accepted no later than June 5. Annual Member-Guest Golf Tournament: Registration for the Annual Member-Guest is open! Held this year on June 7-9, the event is fun-packed with golf, food, drinks, and friendly competition. SIGN UP NOW! Volunteer Opportunity: Caring For Creatures, a no-kill animal sanctuary in Palmyra is looking for dog and cat volunteers. Orientations are held on the third Saturday of each month.
