Boating
The 350-acre main lake may be used for boating and kayaking. Wake surfing, jet skis and hydroplanes are not permitted. All watercraft on Lake Monticello lakes must be owned or leased by a property owner or other resident in good standing. Before launching any watercraft, whether powerboat or human-powered, each year boaters must register and obtain a current year identification decal from the Marina. Boat and trailer storage is available, and boat slips are rented from the boat slip waiting list for both pontoon and other boats. Everyone operating a powerboat is required to be licensed by the LMOA. Please visit the Marina office for further information on licensing. No person under the age of 16 may operate a powerboat on the Lake.

Fishing
CREEL LIMITS:
- Largemouth Bass: Keep all bass less than 15 inches and release all bass 15 inches or more
- Sunfish: Release all sunfish
- Black Crappie, White Perch, Catfish and Bullhead, Chain Pickerel, Gizzard Shad, Grass Carp: Keep all
